Balder won his 10th Best in Show and got now the DSM title
Balder is now allowed to be a Supreme Champion Hindkjaer's Balder DSM !
What does DSM( = Distinguished Show Merit ) mean ?
To take the title (DSM) a cat has to win at least 10 times Best in Show (BIS) or Best Opposite Sex (BOS) in classes 1-10 + 14 .
The shortest possible time span between the first and tenth BIS or BOS is two years and one day.
The DSM is thus a sign that the cat was the most beautiful cat of Category III over a long period of time .
Balder is now the world's 4.Ocicat cat who is allowed to claim the title. At the same time, we look forward to Coronado,
the brother of our Cantaloupe, which got the title a week ago.
